Nutrition

Without good nutrition, how will we sustain the body, especially while on treatment? Without targeted nutrition, how will we overcome symptoms and side effects? Without individualized nutrition intervention, how will my unique needs be met?

Peer Groups and Webinars

Nutrition Peer Groups offer a comfortable setting to gain foundational knowledge and share the journey toward meeting your nutrition goals. Whether you’re new or experienced, our support groups provide space for discussion around basic nutrition principles, new recipes, and insights, along with support for overcoming the side effects of cancer treatment.

Join one of our webinars for a focused session where we cover key nutrition topics. Webinars are designed for information-sharing, with time for questions but limited discussion.

FAQ

Is the nutrition important enough to influence a serious illness like cancer?

Nutrients support the innate ability your body has to deal with cancer. In addition, nutrition can alter the cellular environment to reduce your risk of cancer (or further cancer).

Are the treatment side effects inevitable?

Not necessarily. We are all different and the healthy constitution of our body can alter whether we experience many of the side effects of treatment. Nutrition can also affect our ability to recover from side effects.

Should I just accept the weight change that comes with cancer?

You could do that. You can also decide to help your body adapt to the changes that occur with cancer and then resume a better weight.
