Our Mission

Our mission evolved from personal and professional experience with cancer and cancer patients. We aim to provide both domestic and global outreach. The patient’s experience of the diagnosis, the treatment, the illness, and the survival will affect the outcome on a continued, dynamic basis.

What We Do

“The most difficult part of dealing with a life-threatening illness like cancer is the fear of the unknown. Knowledge is power and can help dispel this dark cloud… and make room for hope.”

By providing education, shared experiences and support through innovative groups, workshops and interactive webinars we are actively helping patients achieve the hopeful state of mind that leads to life-enhancing behaviors. So many patients are left in a vacuum without awareness of the tools to deal with cancer. What help they are aware of is often not accessible to them due to financial or logistical challenges. Our virtual presence enables those who otherwise could not, to gain access to this vital information as well join a community of support and shared encouragement.

The Seed

The written and oral legacy of Reese Patterson, a physician who survived stomach cancer far beyond his prognosis has given us a rich source of knowledge, sentiment, experience and perspective. As both physician and patient “down in the trenches” with his “fellow cancer patients”, he began a mission that we have continued – to help patients “actively participate in their survival and enhanced quality of life.”
